Austin Fricke is a graduate student in the CWU MA English: Professional and Creative Writing program. He has a background in secondary English education with major influences from his Arikara and Sioux heritages, writing prose speculative fiction, surrealism, dreamscapes, magical realism, and abstract nonfiction.

Austin Fricke is a fiction and nonfiction author who writes memoir, novels, and short and flash fiction. He makes rhetorical and metacognitively informed works within his genres, crafting experimental and hybrid experiences. Writing from a background in English pedagogy and composition and informed by his Arikara and Sioux heritages, his work explores the intersections of cultural lens, philosophy, and rhetoric to deliver worldviews from Non Western, decolonized, anti-fascist, and nonhuman perspectives.
